One step ahead: The completely bearingless MSAC200 encoder now with CANopen interface 

At bauma 2025, SIKO will be unveiling the MSAC200 FlexCoder, now with an integrated CANopen interface. The bearingless, fully magnetic feedback encoder is thus ideal for integration into electric drives, power gearboxes and other components in the powertrain. It makes an important contribution to increasing the efficiency and electrification of mobile machines. Its space-saving design impresses in particular in places where space is limited.

Encoders integrated into drives and power gearboxes play a key role in boosting the efficiency of mobile machines and are simultaneously driving the electrification of those systems. Through precise recording of speed and position, they facilitate optimal control of drive components, minimising energy losses and maximising total output. At bauma 2025 in Munich, the sensor specialist SIKO is unveiling its bearingless, magnetic MSAC200 encoder with an integrated CANopen interface, which provides optimal support for this development. With intelligent connection of multiple sensors, the torque can also be determined in this way. 

Efficient control of steering and drive systems with the MSAC200 
An autonomous vehicle must control its powertrain precisely while seamlessly navigating through complex construction sites. It continuously monitors the steering position, regulates the drive power and ensures that obstacles are avoided reliably. As a dependable option for guaranteeing these functions, the MSAC200 is the perfect choice for integration into drives, power gearboxes and steering gears. With its precise absolute position measurement, it provides exact data for controlling steering angles, monitoring turning angles and measuring speeds. Even after a power failure or a system interruption, it is guaranteed to provide reliable positional data to ensure safe and efficient operation. 

Maximum precision in minimum space 
A key advantage of the MSAC200 is its slim design, which makes it one of the smallest radial sensing devices on the market. Thanks to its compact shape, it can easily be integrated into the housing of components, offering optimal protection in the process. Even in the tightest of installation spaces, it impresses with its easy installation and versatility. The innovative FlexCoder technology allows flexible adaptation to customised designs and supports continuous hollow shaft diameters of up to 230 mm. With a generous reading distance of ≤0.6 mm and an axial tolerance of ±0.5 mm, it makes system design easier and is well-suited for use in dynamic applications.

Even with extreme temperature fluctuations, it works reliably and delivers precise measurement results.
